Ingrédients
- 1 medium head of green cabbage, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional, for topping)
Préparation
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the chopped onions and garlic, cooking until they're soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the ground beef or turkey to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the chopped cabbage, cooking it down until tender, approximately 5-7 minutes.
Add the cooked rice, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper, mixing thoroughly.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish.
If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
