- 1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup frozen peas (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onions and cook until they are translucent.
Stir in the sliced kielbasa sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the diced potatoes, cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Add the browned kielbasa and onions to the potato mixture and stir until well combined.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread evenly.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until the top is bubbly and golden.
Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
