John Wayne Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 cup frozen corn
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with onions until fully cooked.
Drain excess fat and stir in the taco seasoning, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and corn. Season with salt and pepper.
Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Spoon the sour cream over the meat mixture, spreading it evenly.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and lay it over the top of the sour cream, pinching seams to seal.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
